The data version update and associated maintenance work previously announced has been successfully completed.
The GOSAT L4B CO₂ data is now available in its latest version, as released by the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) as of May 29, 2025.

We would like to inform you that we will be performing data version upgrades and updating the column-averaged concentration calculation formulas for certain datasets in the GOSAT series.

During this update process, there may be temporary unavailability of some scenes, as well as a mix of pre-update and post-update data. Should you have any trouble accessing the scene data, please wait for a while and try again later.

- Maintenance period:
　- From 10:00 AM (JST) on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, for approximately 7 days
　　*We will inform you on this page as soon as the update is completed.
　　*This task has been successfully completed.

- Target dataset and update details:
　- [Tellus official]GOSAT/L4B/global CO2 distribution(G1-10)
　　Version update from V02.09 to V02.10

　- [Tellus official]GOSAT/L4B/global CH4 distribution(G1-11)
　　Update to the column-averaged concentration calculation formula (version will remain unchanged at V01.08)

・Impact

　- During this update process, the scene data undergoing update will be unavailable for viewing and download.

　- Should you have trouble when attempting to retrieve a scene, please wait for a while and try again later.

　- It is expected to take approximately 7 days to complete the update for all scenes in both datasets.
　During this period, the date may include both pre-update and post-update data.

*How to Confirm That the Data Has Been Updated
　Please check the following information in the "Scene details" of the relevant scene in Tellus Traveler.

　　1) Ensure that the "Published date and time" in the "Basic Information" section is on　or after July 30, 2025.
　　2) Confirm that the "process configure" in the "Catalog elements" section is:[product_version:V02.10,gas:CO2]

　　1) Ensure that the "Published date and time" in the "Basic Information" section is on　or after July 30, 2025.

[Additional Information]

"L4B global CO2 distribution" products have been released to General Users as version 02.10. They are based on version 02.97 & version 02.98 of FTS SWIR L2 XCO2 data and the GLOBALVIEW surface-based CO2 data and cover 161 months between June 2009 and October 2022.
